Co Insurance is the amount of money or expense that is shared with the health insurance company before benefits are paid at 100%. For example if you have a $10,000 hospital bill and your policy is 80/20 to $5,000 you would be responsible for $1000 plus any deductible you may have. Health Insurance companies have different forms of co insurance where you may be out less or more depending on what you can afford to pay on a monthly basis.
